On March 6, 2011 Ava Mary Andersen was blessed by her father, at the Murtaugh, Idaho 1st Ward. Our church building is under some construction so we are going to the Kimberly building for a few months with sacrament meeting starting at 3 pm. Since it starts so late we decided to serve lunch before church. We had about 50 people at our house. We did it real fancy and ate down in the unfinished basement so we could all fit. We appreciated the love and support from our families that could make it. Ava is so lucky to have such a great heritage, Great Grandmas Nell & Geri, and Grandmas Terri & Mary.
She has some pretty great men in her life too, Grandpas Clark and Ron, and of course her father!
Pictures were kind of an after thought, we were a little rushed to eat and get it somewhat cleaned up before church. We didn't even take our family picture. I keep thinking we will take one on a Sunday when everyone is dressed up but as you can see that hasn't happened yet. So when it does happen I will share it.
Here are the newest cousins all together (future partners in crime). Ava Mary in January, Amelia in November, and Slade in December. They all came with plenty of hair!!!
Ava is pretty good at filling up a diaper and then some so I didn't even dare put her in her blessing dress till we got to the church. A lot can happen in a 20 min. car ride. We made it without incident. Eric gave a beautiful blessing. She is lucky to have such a great dad! It was a special day!
