Fort Bridger

We have been married 11 years and not once had Eric or the boys been to Fort Bridger. It is only six miles from my home town. So when we made our last trip to Wyoming for a visit I decided it was time for a history lesson. The boys just ate it up!
An old bear trap.

The Jail

Our first "family picture" of sorts.

"Are these hats made with real skunks?"
The lady said yes, but Eric being an old trapper assures they boys they were not.

The blacksmith shop

One of theses years we are going to make the trip back to the Fort on Labor Day Weekend, that is when the big Rendezvous is. Eric and the boys would love it!

Our trip just happened to be the weekend of Eric's birthday. He couldn't have asked for a better present than to spend it in Wyoming! 39 years young!

Eric and I left the boys with my sisters for about 24 hours while we made a quick trip to Lander to look at the area and Eric talked to the VA clinic about a future job opening. The job and the area seem like a perfect fit for us but it is 6 months to a year out before it opens. The gov't jobs have so many hoops to jump thru. So we'll have to wait and see what the future holds......
