Learning Responsibility

In the summer Eric had this wonderful idea to help the boys learn a little bit about responsibility and they could earn some $$$$. He bought three little calves from our neighbor. We kept them in the field just below our house. They had to be bottle fed, watered and grained. The boys were all gung ho to begin with, but before the work was done they had grown tired of "learning". They begrudgingly made it the whole duration. Now the calves are big enough just to roam in the pasture and fend for themselves till time to part with them and the boys can cash in. The boys are looking forward to that part. It has been a good learning experience for them!
