Ashton Turns 5

Ashton celebrated his 5th birthday on the 2nd of February. Yes, he is my groundhog baby. He is loving pre-school. He loves his friends! He thinks he should be able to go somewhere or have someone over every single day to play! Next year all-day kindergarten is going to put a damper on his carefree lifestyle.

Ashton isn't a fan of cake so we tried something new "Ice cream cake". I let the boys pick out how they want it decorated, so when I saw these little groundhogs at familyfun.com I thought how perfect and he agreed. One of the great things about living in a "really" small town you are still allowed to take homemade treats to school. So I made cupcakes for his class too.

Eric's uncle Forest works at a pawn shop and always has a "great" find for us. This is where we got one of Ashton's presents. He needed and wanted a "new" bike (Eric ran his over). It is still pretty cold here but he has been able to ride it a couple of times, and he loves it!
