T-Ball Highlights

T-Ball can be very entertaining as a spectator. The first of the season in particular. Every game brought more and more understanding of the sport. Hunter had never played before but he caught on quick. He had a good little team. They mixed up the positions a bit but Hunter mainly played 2nd base and then Pitcher towards the end of the season. He has a good little arm. He has always been able to throw pretty far but suprisingly enough his accuracy isn't half bad for a six year old. He enjoyed every minute of T-ball. His team was undefeated during the regular season. They didn't have as much luck for the tourneyment, loosing out after three games.

After conversations with family members who don't live here, it sounds like we take our T-ball a little extreme around here. We actually keep score, people do get out, and someone looses. I did enjoy watching Hunter and his team. Im not sure Eric enjoyed it quite as much. The games he was able to make it to he was lucky enough to be one of the umpires. We found depending on where the game was and which fans were present made all the difference in the enjoyment level. (Some people are a bit much on the competiveness, come on it is T-ball people).

Hunter did a great job hitting multiple home runs, one grand slam, caught two fly balls -the first one he caught and then went and taged the guy any way/the second he caught and then threw it to the first base man for a double play. He is very competitive (did he have much of a chance not to be) hopefully we can channel it in the right direction.

Next year should be fun to have Hunter and Ashton both playing.
